what kind of careers involve event planning?

im a freshman in college and trying to decide on a major. im really interested in/good at event coordinating, advertising, organizing, etc. i have TONS of experience with things like that including organizing/planning philanthropy events, "parents night out" babysitting events, vacation bible schools, etc. i reallly reallllly enjoy that type of thing. but what careers are out there that would fit me? a wedding planner? and whats the practicality of getting a job like that? \ also, what degree would most appropriately fit that job?

If you own a degree - or any alternative qualification - then you'll already be in front of of the bunch when it comes to searching for careers. My pal has a degree and he wasn't certain what direction to go with it, but he found some great guidance on the resource in the resource box below which aided him to settle that he wanted to be a lab assistant. There is plenty of help on the resource regarding alternative careers.
