Do I need perfect teeth to be a dental assistant?
Asked by CailynsMommy
I am currently going to school to become a Dental Assistant. However, I am in need of some work myself. My two front teeth were shattered at a young age and have only been rebuilt with composite material since. Which has stained easily. I need to get veneers. Will not have done this yet hurt my ability to be hired?

no you do not need perfect teeth, but nice teeth would help you get the job, and it would also attract customers. I mean think about it. if you walk in a dentist office and seen a worker with bad looking teeth would you really want to get your teeth done there???

You don't need perfect teeth, but its good to have a clean smile and healthy teeth. Everywhere is good to be good at what You do. For example people don't sell luxury cars in worn down track suits. You won't sell. People are very touchy around those things. And while attending this schooling I bet You will soon get to work as a practice where they will be able to help You. As I don't know how it looks I can't judge. The idea would be not to smile with open mouth if You feel insecure. But remember do smile! Working with people everywhere smiling brings in the succes!
