Collagen Matrix, Inc. is a privately-held company founded in 1997 specializing in innovative, collagen-based scientifically sound technology for applications in tissue repair and regeneration.
Collagen Matrix, located in Franklin Lakes, New Jersey, has a manufacturing facility, a quality control laboratory, and a research and development laboratory. The Company is an FDA registered manufacturer and is certified to ISO 13485 with CMDCAS. The Company's quality system is in compliance with the FDA Quality System Regulations.
The management team and all employees are committed to the manufacture of high quality products for treating disease or injury. Collagen Matrix's innovative scientific research is evidenced by its success in receiving numerous research grants from the National Institutes of Health. Since the Company’s inception, over $8 million in grant money have been awarded to Collagen Matrix.
The sales of our first product, a resorbable collagen membrane for use in oral surgery, have increased steadily each year since its launch in 2001. The resorbable collagen membrane product is now considered by many in the field to be the premier collagen membrane for treatment of periodontal disease and for use in dental implant, bone defect, and ridge augmentation procedures.
The recent worldwide launch of our two new products, DuraMatrix and NeuroFlex, has extended our technology to the area of neurosurgery in the repair and regeneration of dura mater and peripheral nerves.
Currently, Collagen Matrix is focusing its product development efforts in five medical fields: oral/maxillofacial surgery, neurology (neurosurgical and neuro-interventional), orthopedic/spine, dermatological wound care and cardiovascular surgery. A pipeline of products has been identified for each area to expand on our current product portfolio in the years to come.
