Firth Rixson Limited was created by the merger of Firth Rixson plc and Forged Metals in early 2003. The company subsequently acquired Turbine Ring Technologies in the UK and Schlosser Forge in the USA. Firth Rixson has also completed construction of--and will soon begin first-article production in--a new, 50,000s/f, wholly owned subsidiary located in the Suzhou Industrial Park in Suzhou, China, a short distance from Shanghai. In response to growing opportunities across a spectrum of industrial markets, Firth Rixson has reorganized itself into a larger, more competitive provider of rings, forgings and metal products. With extensive operations in the UK and USA, and growing operations in continental Europe and in Asia, Firth Rixson is now aligning its plants and aggregated capabilities with the needs of customers worldwide. As a result of these endeavors, Firth Rixson Limited has become a forging industry leader that can serve as a "One Stop Shop" for original equipment manufacturers anywhere in the world. The company has experienced double-digit growth over its first three years of operation thanks to a strong global economy, effective acquisitions, divestitures and investments, and to its ability to supply product and services that measure up to the most demanding standards for quality, delivery and price. Firth Rixson is owned by Oak Hill Capital Partners. About Oak Hill Capital Partners:
