The University of Redlands is a private university for the liberal arts and sciences. Founded in 1907, it has upheld for nearly a century a mission that emphasizes a commitment to the individual student and to an innovative academic program. The beautiful 140-acre Redlands campus maintains a close relationship with the City of Redlands, a Southern California community steeped in a rich heritage and culture.
Academic programs are offered to the traditional, residential student through the College of Arts and Sciences. The curriculum features a solid foundation in the liberal arts along with an extensive array of interdisciplinary and pre-professional programs. Faculty are committed to teaching, and the 14-1 student-faculty ratio ensures personal attention in small classes. Enrollment is approaching 2,000. The university also was among the first institutions to offer undergraduate and graduate programs for working adults. The same commitment to teaching and service is reflected in programs for undergraduate and graduate students in business and education. Enrollment in these programs is approximately 2,500, including students in five regional centers throughout Southern California.
