Overview and History - Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center, formed in 1924, is located at 1300 North Vermont, Los Angeles, Calif. Hollywood Presbyterian is an acute-care facility with 434 licensed beds, 1,300 employees and a 600-member medical staff. With more than 4,000 births per year, Hollywood Presbyterian is one of the leading centers of obstetrics in Southern California. Hollywood Presbyterian has also developed a reputation as a community teaching hospital with its strong affiliation with USC Keck School of Medicine. Currently, USC residency programs include OB/GYN, Pediatrics, Ophthalmology and Pharmacy. HPMC also has a Podiatry residency program and through Touro University-California, a Physician Assistant/Masters in Public Health (PA/MPH) student rotation program. The medical center is fully accredited by the Joint Commission on the Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations, the nation’s oldest and largest hospital accreditation agency.
Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center was recently acquired by CHA Medical Group. The CHA Medical Group owns and operates four acute care hospitals with approximately 2,000 beds, two specialty clinics for Oriental medicine, a medical university and a cell and gene therapy institute, all in Korea, as well as two infertility medical centers in the US and Korea, including the CHA Fertility Center in Los Angeles.

Services - The medical center’s core services include Arthritis Institute, Cancer Care Institute including radiation therapy, Spine Institute, City Center for Obesity, Korean Care Center, Diabetes Connection program, Institute for Maternal & Fetal Health with Children’s Hospital Los Angeles and USC affiliated physician groups, obstetrics, neonatology, CCS approved pediatrics and NICU, cardiac catheterization, emergency services, mammography, general surgery, and radiology services. Its health care services include a Health Screening and Education program, acute rehabilitation services including physical, speech, and occupational therapies.
