Patient First is based in Richmond, Virginia and operates a total of nineteen primary and urgent care centers in the Richmond and Chesapeake/Virginia Beach area of Virginia, and the greater Baltimore Area in Maryland.

When we opened our first facility in Richmond, Virginia, in 1981, our vision was to make access to quality medical care as convenient and cost-effective as possible for the patient. To make the vision a reality, we adopted many innovative operating systems and practices that were practically unheard of at the time and which are continued today.

These innovations, along with our commitment to an excellent medical staff and quality of care, have met with wide acceptance, allowing Patient First to expand considerably over the years. Patient First now offers both primary and urgent care services and participates in most insurance and managed care plans. There are currently fifteen Patient First centers operating in Virginia - eight in the Greater Richmond Region and seven in the Greater Tidewater - Newport News Region, Virginia, areas. A recent expansion in Greater Baltimore Region brings the total number of facilities serving this metropolitan area up to five.
