Founded in 1982 as Coyte-Smolin and Associates, by Al Coyte and Gary Smolin. We started as a manufacturers' rep agency. In 1986 we helped set up the first Home Depot in California and have been involved with every store in the West since then.
By 1989, Cosmo Store Services was formed. The focus of this division has been servicing the large home improvement outlets. In 1996 we began as a direct rep of Home Depot, taking care of their Lighting Department. In 2005 we started taking care of Home Depot's Hardware Department. In 2005, we also created Vantage Project Services as a separate division.
Today, Cosmo employs over 950 employees in the 14 Western states.

Cosmo Store Services is committed to reaching out to those in need. The company's main charity is the City of Hope. The City of Hope, an innovative biomedical research, treatment and educational institution, is dedicated to the prevention and cure of cancer and other life-threatening diseases.
Over the last 20+ years Cosmo and its employees have given over $500,000 to this great charity.
