Profile P2S Engineering, Inc. is a full-service mechanical, electrical and telecommunications engineering firm with a reputation for providing high quality professional engineering services that are responsive to our client’s needs. In addition to design, our firm has had extensive experience with studies of all types. Projects have included electrical distribution, telecommunication infrastructure, lighting, energy reduction, controls, thermal storage, cogeneration and central plants. Other services include master planning, conceptual design, commissioning, constructability reviews and project management. Retrofit, upgrade and renovation projects make up the majority of the firm's work.

P2S Engineering has been designing high-performance systems for buildings since our formation in 1991. As the need and appreciation for sustainability has broadened throughout the building industry, so has our participation in support of this effort. P2S has taken a leadership role in the field as an active member of the Association of Energy Engineers, the U.S. Green Building Council, the Illuminating Engineering Society, Labs for the 21st Century, and the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers. P2S has LEED Accredited Design Professionals to guide clients who have a project goal of LEED certification.

Our staff has the special expertise required for industrial and institutional projects. Our experience has included providing engineering services as the Campus Engineers at California State University Long Beach, California State University Fullerton, California State University Bakersfield, Long Beach City College, Cypress College, and Fullerton College. Our experience also includes several annual/open-end contracts for Universities/Colleges, the Boeing Company and the Port of Long Beach.

In order to accommodate the protection requirements of our clients, the firm has $2,000,000 of general liability insurance in addition to our $2,000,000 of professional liability insurance.

P2S Engineering was founded as PSI Engineers, Inc. in March of 1991 by John Sosoka, Kevin Peterson, and Kent Peterson. John Sosoka had previously founded the mechanical consulting engineering firm of Sosoka & Associates in 1979.

During the 1990s, we continued to expand our capabilities and worked hard to improve our work processes and technology in order to respond effectively to the fast-paced dynamics of today’s world. The firm changed its name in July 1997 to P2S Engineering.

Today, we continue to grow and prosper. We will continue to serve our clients to the best of our abilities and evolve as the market dictates.

Our service is consulting engineering in the fields of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, control systems, and telecommunications. The firm is primarily oriented toward providing consulting engineering services for industrial facilities, government facilities, institutions, and the building industry.
