The Coast Community College District is one of the largest and most successful community college districts in the state of California and the nation. Since its founding in 1947, the District has maintained a reputation as one of the leading community college districts in the U.S. governed by a locally elected Board of Trustees. The District plays an important role in the community by responding to the needs of a changing and increasingly diverse population. We are a multi-college district that includes Coastline Community College, Golden West College, Orange Coast College, and KOCE-TV. The three offer more that 200 academic and vocational programs, including four-year college transfer programs, general education, occupational and technical education, community services and student support services. The Coast Community College District employs nearly 2,500 faculty and staff and maintains an operating budget of almost $180 million annually.
