The Sisters of Providence Health System is a faith-based, non-profit organization serving all patients regardless of background or ability to pay. We are known for our tradition of a high-touch, holistic approach to health care combined with state-of-the-art medical technology.
Quality Medical Care
We are dedicated to providing high-quality health care by maintaining our ongoing commitment to personal, individualized care for each patient. By offering the latest treatment techniques, comfortable surroundings and a dedicated staff, that commitment is expressed every day, in every area of the health system.
The SPHS Difference
Our most important and most valuable resources are the people who work for the health system -- the true caregivers. Our staff members, at every level -- from volunteers to skilled nurses, technicians and highly specialized physicians -- listen to the needs of every patient and the concerns of every family to make certain full attention and understanding is provided in every situation. This approach is naturally accompanied by the highest level of professional medical technology.
Healthy Connections
In recent years, SPHS and Mercy Medical Center have developed alliances with some of America's leading medical institutions. The Lahey Clinic in Burlington, Massachusetts, one of the world's preeminent health organizations, is now affiliated with Mercy Medical Center. Lahey's cardiology department was recently ranked among the country's best in a U.S. News and World Report article which rated "America's Best Hospitals."
Mercy Medical Center has also instituted an ongoing working relationship with the famous Joslin Diabetes Center in Boston and maintains a Joslin affiliate center right on the Mercy campus. As an associate of Joslin, Mercy is able to provide the latest in diabetes treatment and education to Western Massachusetts' residents. | |
