ABOUT FLORIDA MEDICAL CENTER Florida Medical Center, part of Tenet South Florida, is a 459-bed acute care hospital located at 5000 West Oakland Park Blvd in Fort Lauderdale. Founded in 1973, Florida Medical Center offers a broad range of medical and surgical services, including the Heart Institute of Florida, a center for cardiac services, 24-hour emergency services, bariatric surgery, comprehensive psychiatric services and cancer care.
