Children’s Institute, Inc. ( CII ), established in Southern California over 100 years ago, provides healing to traumatized children so they can recover and lead healthy lives. We are working to shape the field of children’s services through innovative research, demonstration projects, and professionally accredited training programs.

Over the past 25 years, CII has doubled its staff and quadrupled the number of children and families we assist. Today we provide services to more than 17,000 children and their families in Los Angeles ’ most challenged neighborhoods, and train more than 9,000 professionals in the areas of child development, mental health and welfare.

This growth and record of success has earned CII a position of leadership among children’s service organizations locally and nationally, and has positioned the agency for the next century of service.
