Memorial Hospital Announces Future Plans
|
Memorial Hospital’s Board of Directors has announced that the hospital has entered into the initial planning phase for a replacement hospital. Memorial Hospital, a 100-bed community teaching hospital, has experienced significant growth over the past 10 years. For example, the Emergency Department visits have grown from approximately 15,000 visits to 40,000 visits in the past decade. During the same period, the number of babies being born in the Family Birth Center has nearly tripled. This growth, in combination with expected future population and market share increases, has prompted the Board of Directors to make this strategic decision. The initial planning phase will include facility and space planning, as well as financing options. |
