About Us
Scott Chalmers has been in the jewelry business since 1979 and in that time he has continued to give his customers the ultimate jewelry experience. With that in mind, Chalmers Jewelers offers a comfortable atmosphere filled with knowledgeable employees and a selection of jewelry that is second to none.
Scott Chalmers’ goal of building the area’s ultimate jewelry superstore was achieved in 1992 when Scott and his wife Ruth opened their first store at 6333 University Avenue in Middleton. Eventually Chalmers Jewelers moved east one block into 5,000 square feet free-standing store with over 250 linear feet of running showcases, a private diamond viewing room, a large open repair shop which allows you to watch while a professional goldsmith works on your jewelry and even a cozy playroom to entertain your children while you shop.
In 2002 Chalmers Jewelers added elite premium brands like Rolex to its already affordable lines of fine jewelry. In 2006 Chalmers Jewelers added Cartier watches and in 2007 Gucci.
In 2003 Chalmers Jewelers was first awarded Madison Magazine's Best of Madison title. Chalmers Jewelers continues to be named Madison Magazine's Best Jeweler in 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007.
Today Chalmers Jewelers is a full-service, independently owned jewelry superstore located at 6202 University Avenue in Middleton. Chalmers Jewelers employs approximately 18 people including GIA graduate gemologists and four full-time custom goldsmiths.
