COMPANY HISTORY
Child and Youth Pediatric Day Clinics, Inc. (CYPDC) began providing services to children in six locations in 1997. In 1999, six additional locations were acquired under the name of Pediatric Specialty Care, Inc. (PSCI). These two companies currently operate under the same Board of Directors and management structure and together have eleven different locations which have served thousands of children throughout Arkansas . Our locations are as follows:
Child and Youth Pediatric Day Clinics, Inc. Pediatric Specialty Care, Inc. Batesville Arkadelphia Jonesboro Blytheville Jonesboro CYDC (outpatient only) Benton Mountain Home North Little Rock Paragould West Memphis Trumann
In July 0f 2006, CYPDC and PSCI were acquired by Youth and Family Centered Services (YFCS). At that time, the company began operating under the name Ascent Children?s Health Services.
Founded in 1997, YFCS has become one of the premier providers of behavioral and educational services to abused and neglected children and adolescents in the United States . Since its formation, it has grown to become one of the largest organizations in the country focusing exclusively on youth. YFCS continues to meet the constantly increasing needs of those for whom it provides.
Based out of Austin, TX YFCS was established to build a behavioral health and educational services organization to meet the needs of abused and neglected children ? one that would improve the delivery of its services by instituting best practices and implementing integrated clinical and educational programs. Following this model, YFCS has become an increasingly influential presence in multiple states, successfully serving thousands of children each day. | |
OUTPATIENT SERVICES PROGRAM DESCRIPTION Outpatient services are available to children and adolescents during the same hours of operation and include a full range of mental health services, including 24-hour crisis intervention. Speech, physical, and occupational therapies are also available to patients who qualify. A referral from the patient?s Primary Care Physician may be required and the need for treatment is determined by the results of the individual assessments and evaluations administered. For these services, patients may be covered by insurance, either private or state funded, or may pay cash. Payment plans are available. Upon admission, evaluations are conducted and treatment plans, including goals and objectives, are developed which are tailored to meet the patient?s identified needs. Services are administered by skilled professionals through one-on-one therapy sessions, family sessions, and/or group activities. The treatment plan is a tool used as a framework for care and identifies individual and family strengths, which are used to foster improvement, and individual and family needs, which are targeted as areas in which to establish goals. These services are currently provided in our day treatment programs and in two stand alone outpatient clinics which serve children and adolescents through 18 years of age. We intend to gradually expand the provision of services to older children and adolescents into all of our other facility locations throughout the state in order to provide services to more children in need. Throughout every aspect of our wide range of available services, it is our intent to assist children and families in reaching their full potential through therapy and intervention services in order to begin their path to a brighter future. |
