The Resoure Management Group (TRMG) is an Executive Search firm that specializes in the placement of professionals in the fields of Accounting, Finance and Audit.  Due to the requirements of the Sarbanes-Oxley bill of 2002, TRMG was originally established to assist Clients find qualified candidates to meet their Audit staffing needs.  Continous high demand has led the firm to to expand their expertise to include Accounting and Finance.  At TRMG, we pride ourselves in securing highly productive, top-performing people for our Clients.  As a matter of fact, our philosophy focuses on these 3 components: People, Performance, Productivity. 

  • People.  Malcom Forbes said, “All business operations come down to 3 basic principles. People, Product, and Profit.  Without top people, you cannot do much with the other two."

    We relentlessly pursue qualified, high performing people for our clients.  How we go about recruiting these people, however, is quite different then most of our competitors.  Not long ago, anyone with Internet access could (and did) call themselves recruiters.  Anyone can do a keyword search on a gigantic job board.  AT TRMG, WE DO NOT ADVERTISE OR SEARCH FOR CANDIDATES ON ANY JOB BOARDS.  We assume that our clients have already spent money to  advertise this position on their own, and have been unsuccessful in finding the right candidate.  Thus, they reach out to us to expand the available talent pool.  We believe that the best possible candidates do not answer ads or exist on job boards because they are already happily and productively employed elsewhere.  We recruit the high performers who are interested in opportunity but are not pro-actively seeking to make a move.  While this is a very important part of the process, the true test of success  is helping our clients secure these high performers for their open positions.  We succeed in this critical area by working with both parties on these sensitive negotiations and striving for a win/win solution.  
  • Performance.  We deliver results by placing candidates that deliver results.  We have an established track record of our candidates staying with their employer and progressing with the company.   We believe our success is due to taking time up front to thoroughly understand what our clients want in their next hire and what the candidates wants in their next job. 
  • Productivity.  A happy employee is a productive employee.  This speaks for itself.  Not only are we selective about the candidates that we recruit and present to our clients, we are equally selective in choosing our clients.  In order for us to work on a Search Assignment for a client company, there must be a stable history, growth opportunity and a track record of progression.     If these prerequisites are in place, the candidate will likely be more successful and productive.

Shane Schwab has a B.S.B.A in Marketing from the University of Tulsa in Tulsa, Oklahoma.  He has over 6 years of experience in executive search. He served as Manager for one of the largest professional placement organizations in the world.  He also has experience in accounting with a Fortune 500 company and project management with a large telecommunications company.  His hobbies include soccer, golf, baseball and spending time with his family. 


Leah Bennett has 20 years of experience in the accounting field in a variety of roles with various St. Louis area companies including a Big Four public accounting firm, as well as companies in industry ranging from small privately-owned firms to Fortune 500 companies.  She has a B.S. in Business Education with an emphasis in Accounting from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale and is a CPA in the state of Illinois.  While new to the executive search field, Leah has many years of experience on both sides of the placement process as both a hiring manager and accounting/finance professional.   Leah is enthusiastic about her career change and the ability to use her experience to help candidates find improved career satisfaction and clients to find that perfect fit for their organization.  Leah is a working mother of two who enjoys spending her spare time with her family and friends.
