Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital is a descendant of Faith Family Hospital, which was founded in 1937 by Dr. A.J. Signorelli to serve primarily Italian immigrant families. Faith Family Hospital occupied two different St. Louis locations before settling in Creve Coeur in 1969. Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital officially opened its doors in 1989 when Barnes Hospital acquired Faith Family Hospital. |

In 2002, a Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital Foundation was created. Quite simply, the Foundation reaches out to patients and the community for resources that would not otherwise be available.
