During the creation of the Department of Homeland Security, the United States Border Patrol, along with the INS inspection division, the U.S. Customs inspection division, and the Department of Agriculture’s plant and animal inspection service, were merged into a new agency called U.S. Customs and Border Protection, also known as CBP.

While the traditional mission of the United States Border Patrol has always been the detection and prevention of the illegal entry of aliens and smuggling of illegal contraband into the United States anywhere other than a designated port-of-entry, the dawn of the age of terrorism within our nation has added a new and high priority mission: to detect and prevent the entry of terrorists and their weapons into the United States.

On horseback, and on land, sea, and air, the United States Border Patrol defends America.

The Border Patrol never sleeps. Twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week the men and women of the United States Border Patrol are doing everything possible with the limited resources available to them to secure the borders of the United States of America.

Keeping America’s borders safe is a very dangerous assignment. Nearly 100 Border Patrol officers have lost their lives in the line of duty. Thousands have been wounded.

The Border Patrol’s mission has increased over the years. Today, the Border Patrol must also operate within the interior of United States — monitoring roads and even some airports where illegal aliens concentrate. In addition, other government agencies have granted the United States Border Patrol certain additional powers to help them protect our borders.

The function of the United States Border Patrol has been an essential element of our country's security since before our Constitution was even written.  On July 4th, 1776 our Founding Fathers declared our country independent from England.  It is this act that we celebrate on July 4th of every year.   The twentyseventh reason for our separation from England  — as listed in our Declaration of Independence — is the King's refusal to provide the people of America with a secure border.

Our Department of Homeland Security takes pride in saying that thousands of people have not been victims of terror in the USA since 9/11. The problem for them, and for us is ... that it is just not true.

Since 9/11, America's civilian terror toll has increased by over 12 deaths a day.

Our cumulative civilian terror toll since 9/11 is over 25,000 American citizens. That body count is the cumulative death toll inside this country at the hands of illegal aliens. Yes, America's civilian terror toll within the borders of the United States increases at a rate of more than 12 dead Americans a day.

It is a real surprise for most Americans until they do the math. Twelve dead a day, times 365 days, times all the years since 9/11.

Death Toll Calculator

If it is Tuesday, April 29, 2008 12:55:43 PM, then:

Illegal aliens have murdered more than 1428 people inside the USA so far this year, and:

Illegal aliens have murdered more than 29064 people inside the USA since 9/11.

The death toll of 12 a day just counts the Americans our sophisticated emergency rooms couldn't save. While Los Angeles may be center of gravity for Hispanic violence, the violence has spread across our land and even to small town America. For example in McHenry County, Illinois (population 250,000) there is Mr. Jose Luis Rojas who pulled a 12 year old crippled girl out of her wheelchair and raped her. His final comments to the judge included an effort to trade deportation for prison: “If I could just.... go back to my mother and family again. I won’t do this again; and I will never come to this country again.” The judge could only give him 28 years.

Moving millions of illegal aliens across our southern border each year takes planning. People do not just wake up one day and decide to march north. There is an entire sophisticated infrastructure in Mexico that supports the invasion. Food and accomodations and even transport all require planning. Along some parts of the Mexican border even Mexican school buses are used -- off hours of course -- to transport the illegals directly to the border. Further, the Mexican government is complicit in this process. Any interference in drug or illegal alien trafficking over our border is not taken lightly and sometimes we have what to any isolated American border town sheriff or Border Patrol Agent could be construed as a written threat. In the present case the driver of a smuggling van loaded with illegal aliens tried to run over a deputy sheriff and he fired at the driver.

There is only one group capable of such a level of organization and control in Mexico: The Mexican drug cartels. Thus, it should be no surprise to discover that the drug cartels control most of the Mexico's illegal alien trafficking as well as Mexico's drug trafficking.

Illegal aliens in the USA represent a larger "refugee" population that all other refugees on earth today...Combined.

If you add Darfur, Iraq, Afghanistan, Haiti, Cuba, (find some more and toss them in too) they in total represent about one fifth the number of "refugees" that are flowing across our southern border each and every year...

If we take this far left view, then the illegal aliens now inside the USA represent the largest humanitarian crises in 200 years and a full and total embargo should be put on Mexico to force that country to repatriate its nationals and give them... freedom and democracy...

The most optimistic view would be that the United States Border Patrol is able to apprehend one in six illegals crossing our border (yes our government says one in four but again that is spin). With about a million illegals apprehended each year that means about five million invade our country each year. If the government's number from 2004 (which they continue to use) of "20 million" was correct then three years later you can add 10 to 15 million more -- making 30 to 35 million the far more realistic illegal alien population within our borders.

The New York Police Department admits that terror has been unleashed upon America .

America is not alone in "blowback" from oddly idealistic and toxic illegal immigration policies. The crude bombs going off in England are not being planted to do that much damage -- because they can't. Their purpose is to turn England into a hyper-paranoid police state and bankrupt it. England now has over four million TV cameras on the streets monitoring the populace. These cameras monitor a country where guns are illegal and yet "diversity" is so out of control that four million TV cameras are needed to watch everyone 24 hours a day. Four million cameras are a lot of cameras. In fact it is about one fifth of all closed circuit TV cameras on earth.

The tens of millions of illegal aliens inside the US murder about 12 people each day in the United States.

Let's put that into perspective:

Illegal aliens murder more people inside the USA every year than were killed in the attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941.

Illegal aliens murder more people inside the USA every year than were killed on 9/11.

Illegal aliens murder 25 times more people inside the USA every year than were killed in the Oklahoma City bombing.

Since 9/11.. Illegal aliens have murdered more people inside the USA than were killed in all of our Indian Wars starting from 1776.

Since 9/11.. Illegal aliens have murdered more people in the USA than were killed on 9/11 plus all our war dead so far in Afghanistan and Iraq combined.

While 1,000 illegal aliens crossed the border with Pancho Villa (and then went home), today between 5,000 and 10,000 illegal aliens cross the border each day (and stay).

Today, many American cities are becoming violent centers for illegal alien gangs. Los Angeles has over 600 Hispanic gangs with a total of more than 40,000 members. To contain the violence, the city of Los Angeles now has the largest jail in the world holding more than 23,000 prisoners.

Today "Amnesty" is the catch word.

Under the 1848 Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo, the United States is obligated to secure our border with Mexico. More than 68 years later we still had not lived up to our treaty obligations to secure our border. It was that attack on America in 1916 that caused us to realize our borders were not safe.

It was that attack on America in 1916 that started the political process to form a small band of brothers that remain today The United States Border Patrol.

Our flag of red, white and blue, with a field of stars, represents a country that has given nearly a million men for its protection. The only men and women who protect our borders -- and thus our very Homeland itself -- and the priceless hopes and dreams of those million men who gave their lives for us -- are the men and women of the United States Border Patrol.
