Advanced Tactical Systems' flagship product is the Air Defense Systems Integrator, more commonly known as the ADSI®. In reality, the ADSI is a family of products designed to meet many of today's Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence (C4I) requirements. The ADSI system is essential to the U.S. military’s command and control structure. This robust system is capable of receiving, forwarding, and displaying tactical information via tactical data links, radar, intelligence links, and other means. It gives operators a versatility they have not previously enjoyed, even with other more costly systems.
Forward Deployable ADSI
The Forward Deployable ADSI (single ruggedized transit case with fold-out display) is a reduced footprint configuration. This configuration of the ADSI is designed for rapid transit, ease of setup and breakdown, and in-theater Warfighter support.
Features of the Forward Deployable ADSI include:
- One container solution
- Tactical data link support
- Tactical display
- Optional radar interface
- GPS input
- Network
- Link 16
- Link 11
- Link 11B
- GCCS/TBMCS interface
- Additional operator consoles (optional)
The standard ADSI system uses the same core processor chassis as found in the forward deployable ADSI system. It is a commercialized system that is a fully customizable suite with multiple radar input capability, intelligence, planning, and redundant data link connectivity. It can be used for a standalone tactical data link, radar, and/or electronic intelligence capability requirement.
This configuration is designed for lab and fixed environments, and has wheels for mobility. It is provided with a commercial keyboard, mouse, and flat panel monitor. When you need to transport the system from one place to another, simply unplug the terminals and system tower, roll or move the ADSI to the new location, and reconnect the terminals and system tower. The ADSI does not need to be shut down because it is equipped with an uninterrupible power supply (UPS).
The Advanced Tactical Airborne System (ATAS) combines the maturity and flexibility of Ultra's certified tactical data link software in a fully commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) yet completely flight-qualified enclosure. Ready to meet the most demanding and rapidly changing mission requirements, the ATAS provides the user with the unprecedented flexibility to choose among a wide variety of tactical interfaces.
Benefits of the ATAS include:
- Unmatched capacity — Up to six channels of Line-of-Sight (LOS) and Beyond Line-of-Sight (BLOS) communications simultaneously
- Flexible connectivity — Supports Link 16 using a variety of protocols, including Multi-functional Information Distribution System/Joint Tactical Information Distribution System (MIDS/JTIDS); Joint Range Extension Application Protocol (JREAP) MIL-STD-3011 Appendices A, B, and C; STANAG 5602 SIMPLE; and U.S. Navy Satellite Tactical Automated Digital Information Link (TADIL) J
- Complete solution — Includes real-time tactical situation display, radio control applications, and mission computer interface
- Robust — Supports up to 1,000 air, surface, subsurface, and ground surveillance and electronic warfare tracks and points

- Supportable — 100% COTS solution meets military standard requirements
The MicroCube brings a Tactical Data Link capability to an entirely new class of users through industrial-grade COTS PC-104+ technology. Using conduction-cooled and ruggedized components, the MicroCube works in the most demanding maritime, mobile, and airborne environments with severe weight, power, and space restrictions.
Benefits of the MicroCube include:
- Unmatched Size/Weight — 210 cubic inches and 8 pounds
- Rugged — Built for demanding environments
- Flexible connectivity — Supports LOS and BLOS interfaces
- Robust — Allows simultaneous connection to multiple networks/interfaces
- Standards-based — Complies with Joint Range Extension Application Protocol (JREAP)
- Configurable — Can be rapidly adapted to meet changing mission and connectivity requirements
- Scalable — Add hardware interface modules to increase the number of data links supported
The heart of the AFTS multi-sensor integration capability is the TOTS application developed by Advanced System Architectures (ASA). The TOTS technology in the AFTS simultaneously tracks all types of above-earth targets including ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, fixed-wing aircraft, rotary-wing aircraft, and ships. Underpinning the AFTS is a uniquely powerful, single-stage, sensor-data fusion and tracking architecture that uses a novel combination of fully cross-coupled Kalman filters and Bayesian probability logic.
Benefits of the AFTS include:
- Reduced dual tracks
- Improved tracking of closely spaced objects
- Increased track continuity
- Aggressive track initiation
- Excellent clutter rejection
- Increased tracking accuracy
- Large track capacity (16,000+ tracks)
- Increased capacity
- Unlimited sensor inputs
