Main Campus
IIT’s Main Campus is located on 120 acres, within minutes of downtown Chicago and its beautiful lakefront, and was designed by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, one of the twentieth century’s most influential architects. This architecturally rich location in Chicago’s historic Bronzeville neighborhood has its heart at 33rd and State streets, and is home to Armour College of Engineering, the College of Science and Letters, and 15 specialized undergraduate and graduate academic programs—from humanities and architecture to industrial management and computer science.
Two Downtown Locations
Chicago-Kent College of Law and Stuart School of Business share quarters in the West Loop, just blocks from Union and Northwestern train stations.
The Institute of Design is in the River North area, just north of the Chicago River on LaSalle Street.
