The widely deployed JTRS-approved Falcon III multiband, multimission, handheld radio offers military forces exceptional operational flexibility - including SINCGARS capability - ultra-high frequency ground-to-ground line-of-sight communications, close-air support, tactical satellite communications, and programmable encryption. Falcon III has a future-proof design as a result of its JTRS Software Communications Architecture (SCA), which facilitates reprogramming to add features and software upgrades. Falcon II and Falcon III radios are now standard on the new Mine Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) vehicles, which are a top priority for the Pentagon because they provide additional protection for troops against IEDs (Improvised Explosive Devices).
