Do you want to standout from your competition?
Of course you do, let me show you how !
Start by thinking about the company that you are interviewing with and the manager you will be working for. Ask yourself ;
Ø What does the manager need?
Ø What does the company need?
There is a problem, opportunity or situation they need your for. Focus your time during the interview on presenting your experience and desire and how they will answer the manager’s and company’s needs.
What do all employers look for?
Ø Performance and accomplishments.
This is the time when it is okay to “brag a little”.
Have 2 or 3 examples of career accomplishments that you can lead a discussion about. In the recruitment profession we call this a Sizzle Sheet.
Your Sizzle Sheet should contain:
Ø A problem, opportunity or major assignment your company gave you
Ø Your solution
Ø How you implemented your solution
Ø Challenges, hurdles, hic ups you encountered
Ø Results
Ø What you learned
