The vision of CVPH is to be recognized as a leader in providing exceptional quality care and improving the health and wellness of North Country residents. Patient Services is a corner stone of this vision. Nurses in all areas are an integral part of shaping care delivery and are well represented on clinical and leadership committees. We have a long standing Practice Council facilitated by a bedside RN with nursing voice from each clinical area in partnership with the other professions such as pharmacy, rehab and respiratory therapy. In addition, we have a professional recognition program, LEAD (Leadership, Excellence, And Development), to reward and recognize nursings' unique contributions to patient care. CVPH is also fortunate to be the clinical home of two RN programs , Clinton Community College and Plattsburgh State University , each of which utilizes CVPH for its primary clinical experiences. The great majority of our clinical areas boast computerization of documentation and medication administration, and the application of technology to improve patient care and facilitate nurses work is ongoing.
