Health Alliance was founded by physicians in 1979. As a provider-sponsored health plan, we understand the importance of leaving health care decisions to you and your physician.

We were founded by Carle Clinic Association, P.C., which is one of the largest multi-specialty group practices in the nation. Over the years we have grown to be the largest managed care organization in downstate Illinois. Our corporate office is located in Urbana, Illinois. Health Alliance Midwest, based in Ames, Iowa, serves our Iowa members.

Today, we provide coverage for more than 250,000 members in Illinois and Iowa. It is our foremost goal to provide excellent healthcare coverage and keep decisions in the hands of medical professionals.
