A History of Growth

In 1968, Wayne Williamson purchased a franchise of a national staffing firm, in Monroe, Louisiana, opening with just a card table for a desk and a single phone line. With enthusiasm, tenacity and an ability to find and attract talented people coupled with an aggressive expansion program, Williamson grew his business into 38 franchised offices by 1978. At the end of 1999, WillStaff, Inc. was the largest franchisee of this national company, with 40 offices in 11 states.

In 2000, through a mutual agreement, WillStaff, Inc. arranged to buyout its franchises and become an entity unto itself. At year's end, there were nearly 50 WillStaff Worldwide locations throughout the southeast and the company experienced its highest sales volume to date.

Knowing that to continue growing his company he would need outside investment, Williamson sold the assets of WillStaff Worldwide and its subsidiaries to American Crystal Holdings, Inc. (ACHI) a subsidiary of Crystal Company, Ltd of Japan. Today WillStaff is owned by RADIA International, Inc. headquartered in Dedham, MA. which owns and operates more than 155 locations through their five U.S. subsidiaries (Advantage Human Resources, The Holland Group, TAC Worldwide, Talent Tree, and WillStaff Worldwide) bringing their annual sales to over one billion dollars.
