Visiting Nurse Service (VNS) is a non-profit Home Health Care Agency serving Saratoga and Schenectady Counties since 1919. As the only Certified Home Health Agency (CHHA) in Schenectady County, VNS provided over 100,000 homecare visits in 2006 to a growing census of 7,000 patients. VNS is the largest provider of homecare services for Schenectady’s three acute care hospitals - Ellis, St. Clare’s and Sunnyview - and we serve patients directly referred by local physicians, skilled nursing facilities and families in the community.
