About Us!

South Metro Human Services is a non-profit agency serving adults with mental illness and/or chemical dependence in the Twin Cities metro area.  We offer many opportunities for people interested in working with clients with mental illness and or chemical dependency either in residential settings or out in the community. South Metro Human Services employs Mental Health Professionals, Mental Health Practitioners, Nurses, Psychiatrists, and Mental Health Counselors as well as support staff and administration. We offer opportunities for those who are looking to enter the mental health field to gain experience for the first time as well as opportunities for seasoned mental health clinicians.

Benefits

South Metro Human Services offers competitive salary and benefits for full time employees including medical, dental, life, short term disability and long term disability insurance as well as voluntary life insurance and access to the company's 403b retirement plan. All full time employees are also eligible for four weeks of Paid Time Off during their first year of employment, and ten holidays.

Training

South Metro Human Services is committed to training staff in evidence based practices surrounding mental illness and chemical dependency as well as other topics which teach our employees to effectively work with clients in the community. While working at South Metro Human Services, staff is eligible for free training provided through our Training Institute. Topics for training include Integrated Dual Disorder Treatment, Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Therapy, Interactive Effects of Mental Illness and Chemical Dependence, and many other topics.
