Our History Barri is a 100% Woman Owned Business founded in 1989 to create labor partnerships with our clients. As such, we provide and promote a streamline approach to staff augmentation services in the most pro-active, cost effective and timely manner as possible, assuring qualified, productive and cost competitive professional services. Barri was destined to be successful based upon the prior success of our management team. Our CEO had twelve (12) previous years of technical contract services experience in recruiting and strategic business development, staff augmentation, serving virtually every nuclear plant within the U.S. Our CFO was the Accounting Manager for the New York Power Authority (NYPA) for eight (8) years; our COO had been the Contract Manager for staff augmentation services at Arizona Public Service (APS), Public Service Indiana and Detroit Edison. Furthermore, our Recruiting Manager had ten (10) years recruiting services. Our diversity was and is a winning combination. In the first year of operation, Barri hit the ground running, doing three point eight million dollars ($3.8M) in contract engineering utility and related energy services. Barri never looked back except to establish Desert Fox Technical Services, Inc. (Desert Fox). In 1993 for the purpose of offering temporary union craft labor in support of plant outage, maintenance or capital improvement projects. Today we have thirty (30) corporate employees, four (4) regional offices, and our corporate office, which we purchased in 1999. Our combined companies produce revenues exceeding thirty million dollars ($30M) and average nine hundred sixty thousand (960,000) labor hours each year with an average of one thousand three hundred fifty (1350) field employees. We successfully provide utilities with any number of personnel, lately up to eight hundred fifty (850) people for a client with concurrent outages at two (2) power plants during a three (3) month period. From our perspective, there is never a labor shortage We have proven our commitment to our commercial and government clients which goes beyond the deliverables. We properly manage and administer any work with a high degree of autonomy, quality and project controls. To this end, we established a Quality Assurance, Fitness for Duty and reporting programs, which has been audited by our clients over the years. Barri is prominent for being far ahead of the curve at all times. For example, in 1990 the electric industry's downsizing created market places for highly talented people. Barri was truly one of the first staff augmentation companies who recognized the transfusion of skills from nuclear utilities and introduced them to DOE and other commercial enterprises. We pride ourselves that the actions we took in 1990 infused additional resources needed in the then tight labor markets. Our industries demand quality engineering management and technical craft support to meet their fluid schedules. Barri accomplishes this through a staff of professional recruiters dedicated to one goal: meeting the demand in the most efficient manner. Our centralized recruiting effort is located in our regional Pittsburgh office with support from other regional offices. These offices are located in Denver, CO; Sweetwater, TN; and Peoria, AZ. Barri's professional, multi-disciplined recruitment differs from it's competitors. Our main responsibility is recruiting and broadening the labor market with new engineers, technicians and craft labor support. Barri has uniformly delivered program results on complex and sensitive programs vital to industrial, utility, state and federal clients, while first and foremost ensuring safety and reliability.
