Member Advocate - Appleton, WI
Primary Responsibilities:
- Field advocates for community based hub sites
- Investigate and resolve access and cultural sensitivity issues for members
- Conduct member retention initiatives as assigned
- Support community relations activities, events and initiatives
- Educate staff, members and providers on UHC programs and services
- Review all member materials for clarity and accuracy
- Conduct member orientation sessions

Qualifications
Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Social Work or related field

2 years demonstrated customer service experience required

1 year of experience dealing with culturally sensitive issues and confidential information

1 year of experience working with underserved populations

Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint experience

A valid driver's license and access to a vehicle

Bilingual in Spanish or Hmong is preferred

A background in health insurance is preferred

The ability to resolve escalated member and provider issues

Strong communication skills, including public speaking

Undergraduate degree or equivalent experien
