Surgical Technologist I: Kaiser Permanente
Qualifications: One (1) year of operating room experience in scrub role within the last two years or recent completion of operating room training program. Ability to scrub all types of surgical cases except open heart. CPR required. Certified Operating Room Tech (CORT) or Certified Surgical Tech (CST) required within 6 months Newly hired surgical technicians will be required to become certified within six (6) months of hire.
Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience as First Assistant preferred. Knowledge of ophthalmology instruments and ophthalmology medical terminology. Ability to work with microscope during surgical procedures. Ability to maintain cooperative, courteous relationship with patients, public and other personnel.
Notes: This is an On-Call position. Days and hours may vary according to departmental needs. Ability to travel to varied locations: Vandever, Vista, Otay Mesa and El Cajon clinics.
