We are a fast growing mid-size business providing medical equipment and asset management and tracking systems to Hospitals and medical centers. We are looking for a Software Developer/Technical Support Engineer (TSE) to assist with development of our proprietary asset tracking system and a wide range of internal technical and customer support needs. We have an extremely fast paced work environment with lots of room for professional growth.

Job Functions:

* Develop and maintain proprietary asset tracking systems.

* To provide computer support for hardware and software by telephone, e-mail, chat and remote utilities for resolution of customer issues to ensure quality support and professional standards on each contact.

* Analyze computer software and system configurations to identify customer-reported issues and recommend corrective actions.

* Maintain accurate records of customer information to track customer history and report recurring problems to customer's product or service provider.

* Perform in-depth technical research including third party software or hardware compatibility, problem recreation, resolution of issues related to commercial and proprietary software, and ongoing contribution of articles for the knowledge base.

* Escalate complex issues to appropriate team or personnel.

Required Skills

* 2-3 years experience with VB.NET, ASP.NET programming

* 1-2 years experience with SQL Server writing complex SQL queries.

* Professional attitude and goal oriented work ethic

* Excellent knowledge of Windows operating systems including troubleshooting, installing, and desktop/laptop deployment - specifically Windows Vista, Windows XP.

* Excellent knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word/Excel)

* Excellent written and oral English communications skills.

* Demonstrated ability to problem-solve complex technical issues requiring in-depth research and analysis.

* Genuine interest in helping people within a highly technical context.

* Attention to detail in handling and tracking technical issues.

* Ability to work well independently and coordination with other departments including developers, software sales and product management.

* Flexibility in working off-hours and weekends. We expect and offer schedule flexibility!

Preferred Skills:

* PC/Server system configuration (partitioning, ghost, etc.) and software installation skills.

* Active Directory knowledge or other Microsoft certifications

* Experience with enterprise deployment methods and tools for client and server software

* Information security (e.g. encryption, digital signatures, authentication, etc.)

* Experience in writing technical articles and FAQs.

* Experience trouble-shooting computer networks

* Understanding of TCP/IP protocols and Internet connectivity


Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree or related work experience
