Conducts analysis of liquid chromatography/mass spectrometry (LC-MS) samples for clients in a GLP and Non-GLP setting. Conducts R&D activities in collaboration with supervisor and other members of the group. Performs general laboratory functions like solution preparation, chemical/supplies management, and equipment calibration/preventative maintenance. Maintains laboratory notebook and associated documents in accordance with established procedures in a regulated environment. Mentors staff on data interpretation, analytical techniques and instrument software.
  • KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
    Technical experience in LC-MS/MS with-in a drug discovery and/or development environment.
    • Experience with HPLC/UV and HPLC/LC/MS.
    • Experience in developing analytical methods in compliance with scientific and regulatory guidelines.
    • Effective analytical, problem solving and judgment skills.
    • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to working in a team environment.
    • Ability to multitask in a time-sensitive environment.
    • Effective interpersonal skills, especially with internal customers.
    • Effective oral and written communication skills.


    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
    A BA/BS degree with 3-8 years experience or a Master's degree with 1-5 years experience. Experience operating LC-MS equipment (e.g. - Sciex or Thermo mass spectrometers) in a discovery and/or drug development environment. Work experience in the areas of high throughput analysis and/or method validation. Experience in a GLP environment is a plus.
