Position Description:

The Staff Accountant will perform the day-to-day general ledger functions for Health Dialog Services Corporation and its subsidiaries. This position will also support the tax accounting activities for the company. Effective coordination, communication and customer service skills with other departments, clients, and outside vendors are essential and critical.

Primary Responsibilities:

· Participate in all aspects of the month-end close (fixed assets, accruals, reconciliations, analysis of accounts, etc).

· Respond to and resolve all internal and external inquiries in a timely manner.

· Maintenance of Accounting files and records.

· Assist in the generation of monthly Sales & Use Tax Returns and annual 1099’s.

· Special projects as determined by the Accounting Manager and Tax Director.

· Tax form preparation, filings and analysis.

· Responsible for ensuring effective internal controls are maintained.

Qualifications:

· BS or BA with a concentration in accounting required

· Five or more years of Accounting experience

· Knowledge in Great Plains Dynamics (or other comparable GL package) required

· Strong understanding of basic accounting/bookkeeping principles and procedures

· Knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, etc)
