CTG is in immediate need of Senior DataStage Administrator for a long term and ongoing W2 contract with our Fortune 20 customer in Bentonville, Arkansas.

Project Duration: 12 months to ongoing

Project Location: Bentonville, Arkansas/ Sorry, no telecommute option.

Required Skills:

· MINIMUM 5 years in an Administration role with IBM InfoSphere Information Server -Data Stage version 8.1 (and previous 7.1 - 7.5 versions) with IBM AIX

· Experience in a Large Enterprise Environment

· As an administrator, they should be able manage software with at least the skills mentioned below.

· Looking for Datastage 8.0 and 8.1 knowledge. Resources should be really sharp , technically strong with good leadership, communication, and people skills.

Role & Responsibilities:

1. Ability to Install/upgrade Information Server product suite on different tiers. Post install configuration, various data sources configuration for the Enterprise plug-in as well as ODBC configurations. Stop/start the server, monitor the logs

2. Setting up Security (internal registry and external registry such as LDAP), assigning roles, project permissions etc

3. Create/Delete projects, create/modify environmental parameters. multiple APT_CONFIG_FILE

4. Monitor the DataStage server for I/O usage, memory usage, CPU usage, network usage, storage usage. Kill or remove the file locks, job locks, shared memory locks, specific processes or users. Remove unwanted files.

5. Apply the necessary DataStage patches, modify the kernal settings, system backup, system recovery etc.
