POSITION PURPOSE
Provides data analysis to assist the Total Rewards Department in an extremely complex environment, involving multiple service providers, benefit plan designs, and locations within the Unified Enterprise Ministry. Uses benefit data to draw conclusions and make recommendations related to the development of corporate health programs and strategies, programs to prevent illness, increase wellness, reduce absenteeism and improve productivity. Ensures ongoing monitoring and analysis of data to measure success and identify methods of managing utilization of health services, chronic health conditions and promoting wellness to Trinity Health Associates. Responsible for the overall quality and accuracy of the health plan's data warehouse. Continually evaluates effectiveness of data elements, reports, and benchmarks and provides recommendations for modifications as needed. Performs ad hoc analysis in support of the OTE Benefits department.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must possess a comprehensive knowledge of healthcare utilization analysis and reporting as normally obtained through a bachelor's degree in Health Administration, Statistics, Finance or a related field, and 4-6 years of health care analysis and reporting, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be comfortable operating in a collaborative, shared leadership environment. Must possess a basic knowledge of medical terminology, medical coding, and patient risk stratification. Must demonstrate the ability to present effectively and technically in writing and orally to management, health professionals, physicians and other contracted providers, at both the UEM and MO level. Must be proficient in the use of Excel, including the use of graphs and data manipulation. Technically sophisticated with relational database concepts and applications, analytic data development (statistics) and decision support tools.
