TIAA-CREF is seeking a Derivative Services Analyst within Asset Management for our New York office. The right individual should be a self-starter and be able to liaison with a broad group of stakeholders including Accounting, Risk, Technology, Legal and Front Office.
Responsibilities:
- Produce produce daily and MTD P&L's, monitoring valuations and working with the Valuation Group to resolve valuation discrepancies.
- Work with the 3rd Party pricing vendor to do daily independent pricing comparisons to ensure that Murex valuations are within a designated tolerance compared to the independent pricing.
- Monitor market data discrepancies in the Murex application, aid in the set-up of new curves and product types and work with the Front Office and various stakeholders on how best to leverage the Murex application in support of derivatives processing.
- Provide ad hoc project work as the services of the group broaden in terms of product offerings and client base.
- Possess product familiarity for both OTC and exchange-trade contracts including interest-rate swaps and options, credit derivatives, and equity derivatives.
Qualifications Requirements:
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience.
- Working knowledge of derivatives products along with the ability to trouble shoot issues related to valuation, payments and P&L.
- Bachelors degree is required with a preference for either a Bachelors or Masters in Finance and/or Financial Engineering.
- Strong communication and analytical skills.
