Senior Art Director: Gaia Interactive

The Gaia Interactive <http://Gaiaonline.com> creative team is seeking a
Senior Art Director to help lead the overall artistic vision and execution for the company. This position reports directly to the VP, Creative Director.

The Art Director will be responsible for driving exceptional creative from concept to completion in an environment of boundless creative opportunity. They will work collaboratively with the Creative Director and other creative team members including writers, designers and illustrators to bring the company’s strategy dramatically to life in the market place and expand the depth and breadth of the Gaia world. The Art Director will join a management team that includes User Experience, Illustration and 3D game design. The ideal candidate will posses formidable creative energy and the ability to help harness the substantial creativity of our art team and creative partners.

Key Responsibilities/Performance Requirements:

• World class creative thinking and exceptional design skills
• Multi-tasking and project management. Able to see creative projects through from concept to completion.
• Manages multiple deadlines and consistently delivers creative on target and on time.
• Presenting creative solutions to management and project owners
• Ability to coordinate with outside agencies and manage internal clients

Required Skills:

• BA/BS in graphic design, advertising or related field
• Strong conceptual design, collaborative, and organizational skills
• 5-7 years experience in design/advertising agency or related experience.
• Enjoys leading and motivating others and being part of a fun-loving, hard working team.
• Sense of humor.
• Superb ability to cultivate great relationships and build trust with a team of creatives of differing professional levels and diverse personalities
