| Job Description: Broad Function and Scope of the Position: This job is responsible for the service and support of the remote facilities including: Desktop Architecture, Technical Architecture, Technical Operations, Security, and Reliable Operability of the Del Monte computing, network, telephony and security infrastructure for remote facilities. This infrastructure encompasses desktops, printers, servers, data communications, voice communications, operating systems, applications and Internet connectivity on all hardware platforms related to these systems. Specific job functions include but are not limited to: • Supervise and direct projects and activities of the Remote Operations Group. • Manage, maintain, and administer the Desktop equipment for a group of identified sites. • Manage, maintain, and administer the Desktop software for a group of indentified sites. • Manage, maintain, and administer the Printing environment for a group of indentified sites. • Manage, maintain, and administer Windows Server hardware, software, applications and application services as related to the remotes sites. • Manage, maintain, and administer the Local networking environment for a group of indentified sites. • Insure a secure and reliable connection to the wide area network for a group of indentified locations by working with the Network Operations group. • Assist in the Development of policies and procedures for all areas of infrastructure as related to the support and service of the remote facilities. • Work with the various factory groups to evaluate, test and implement systems as required to support and/or improve the business. • Recommend new and emerging technologies that add value to the business. • Work to understand Del Monte business processes and educate team members on a regular basis • Performance management and software management using best practices and tools. • Troubleshoot & solve issues with computer hardware, operating systems, and layer products by working with vendors as applicable. • Maintain awareness of new developments for hardware and software technologies and make recommendations as appropriate.
Principal Responsibilities: • Set priorities, projects, and daily duties. • Support projects and daily duties supporting the remote infrastructure and applications • Work with users to understand and determine system requirements and needs to support the business processes. • Maintain service levels for desktop/network/server/application response time, and availability. • Provide reporting to management as required. • Monitor systems and logs for capacity and performance issues. • Ensure system backups/replications are complete and verified. • Monitor systems and logs for vulnerabilities and breeches to security. • Maintain technical aspects of standards and security manuals. • Improve cost performance through the continuing application of new technologies as appropriate
Qualifications: Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in information systems with responsibilities that develop skills in all of the following: - Technical architecture support and development. • Desktop component installation, administration, maintenance, and management including windows OS and MS office • Network component installation, administration, maintenance, and management. • Server component installation, administration, maintenance and management. • Data communications management with local area networks • Computer and network access security. • Desktop, Server, Application and Network Performance/Troubleshooting/Management tools. • Project management and implementation experience. - Have good analytical skills. - Have some project management skills - Time management skills with the ability to work unsupervised -Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
