Providence is calling supplemental Financial Counselors
The individual in this position is responsible for a variety of tasks related to the greeting, registration, pre-registration, and financial counseling of hospital patients.
Position Specifics
This is a supplemental position - no guarantee regarding number of hours or shifts. This position is located at Providence St. Joseph's Hospital in Chewelah , WA - a 25 bed acute care and 40 bed long term care facility.
REQUIREMENTS
Education: HS Diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
· computer and / or data entry experience,
· above average verbal and written communication skills
· able to read, write and speak fluently using the English language
· above average telephone skills and etiquette, exceptional Customer Service skills
· basic knowledge of office equipment
· ability to stay calm under pressure and ability to multi task
· ability to initiate financial discussions with our patients and obtain a commitment or other appropriate course of action as an outcome, familiarity with medical insurance requirements and the process of obtaining insurance verification, benefits and authorization.
Pay Scale: base $11.74 + supplemental premium & shift differential if appropriate
