Summary:
Responsible for keeping the quality of region inventory at a level to optimize customer service and meet financial objectives. This position is responsible for inventory management including product availability, acceptable inventory levels per inventory class and obsolescence control. Also responsible for budgeting inventory based on sales forecasts and managing perpetual inventory value to the budgeted value.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Works directly with the procurement department and inventory stocking locations to optimize product flow.
- Establishes and maintains a stocking model for each branch and distribution center.
- Minimize shrinkage
- Implements and manages product return policy.
- Manages Smart Shift program
- Reviews and oversees product classification coding (ABC).
- Works with MFMO to maintain Item File quality
- Establishes and maintains product availability goals and service goals.
- Monitors inventory levels and optimizes stock turns.
- Manages obsolescence to meet and exceed KPI's.
- Reviews monthly reports and benchmarks with procurement and branch personnel.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
May directly supervise and carry out supervisory responsibilities for positions such as Inventory Specialist in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Facilitate employee growth and involvement in the required day-to-day operations of the general office.

Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline with a minimum of three + years related experience in the industry, including minimum one to three years in a management capacity, or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Applicants must also have knowledge and proven success in managing inventory and inventory control processes operational processes.
Language Skills:
Ability to read, write and speak English, analyze, and interpret related technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write presentations that conform to prescribed style and format.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, cost, credit, rebate and profit, understand and interpret financial commissions, proportions and percentages. Ability to apply concepts of basic graphs and present concepts in quantitative terms.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing software; Spreadsheet software; Inventory management software; Internet software and Order processing systems.
