Job Details: - Completion of an Accredited Course in OR Technology.
- BCLS Required

Under direct supervision, provides care to patients of all ages during surgical intervention. Practices directly under the supervision and direction of the surgeon, registered nurse circulator, or physician assistant during the intra-operative phase of patient care. Is responsible for preparing the operating room for the surgical procedure including the instruments, equipment, and supplies. Maintains the sterile field during the surgical procedure. Maintains proficiency or expert status in the following specialties: General, Gynecology, Opthalmology, Urology (open and closed), Podiatry, Plastics, and Vascular. The CST may also help serve in other roles on the surgical team. Adheres to the principles of Service Care and the philosophy and mission of Mercy Medical Center in all aspects of job performance.
