Provides pharmaceutical care to patients in the hospital setting as part of an integrated health care system. The pharmacist shall work directly with physicians, nurses, physical therapists, lab, clerks, IS, housekeeping, other pharmacists, health plans and other areas of the integrated system. Work schedule can be any of 365 days per year, and can include all hours of the day and night. Typically specialize in an area of care such as newborn, cardiovascular, and pediatrics.

Minimum Qualifications:

• One year experience as a pharmacist in an institutional pharmacy environment, or one year experience as a pharmacist through a site-specific student training program.
• Current knowledge of state and federal regulations and statutes regarding the practice of pharmacy and the distribution of approved drugs, controlled substances and investigational agents.
• Current license as a Pharmacist by State in which one practices & controlled substance license.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within one year of hire date and maintain provider certification.

Preferred Requirements:

• Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited college of pharmacy.
• Three years experience in an institutional pharmacy environment.
