RN Education Program Manager - Baylor All Saints Medical Center - Fort Worth, TX - Full Time Days: Baylor Health Care System

Baylor Health Care System is a not-for-profit, faith-based healthcare system with many care locations in the Dallas-Ft. Worth community. The Program Manager is responsible for planning, developing, organizing, implementing and evaluating continuing education, in-service and staff development programs.

Job Functions

I. Responsible for developing, designing, implementing, and evaluating continuing education, in-service and staff development programs.

1. Designs and updates course objectives, outlines and course content.
2. Develops, designs, and implements Nurse Intern and other assigned programs.
3. Develops and coordinates implementation of program for hospital wide education.
4. Coordinates vendor in-service training and roll out of new products and equipment.
6. Designs and implements methodologies for program evaluations.

II. Coordinates educational opportunities, didactic presentations, and information based on standards of practice, research, and evidence based practice to ensure quality patient care. Provides guidance and conducts the performance appraisals of employees involved in teaching programs. Provides input into performance appraisals.

III. Establishes and coordinates systematic utilization of employee assessment forms to provide accurate, individualized and effective development of each employee.

IV. Evaluates educational needs of all staff and recommends programs to meet those needs.

V. Establishes and maintains cooperative working relationships with hospital departments and outside customers (vendors) to exchange information, evaluate new products, and exchange services.

VI. Prepares and presents educational programs to interested personnel as requested by other Medical Center Departments.

VII. Attends professional meetings and serves on various Medical Center Committees to enhance and maintain awareness of community and national standards and on new techniques and procedures. Maintains knowledge of current Nursing practice and remains clinically proficient in the role.

VIII. Assists in the development of annual departmental goals/objectives and the monitoring of those goals/objectives.

IX. Participates in developing, revising, and implementing departmental policies
and procedures.

X. Assists in preparation of annual budget through needs research and annual teaching needs analysis.

XI. Completes special projects related to education, management and/or departmental responsibilities; prepares special reports for proposals developed by Education Department.

REQUIREMENTS:

Texas RN

BSN required

MSN preferred

2 years of progressive leadership experience.

Previous experience as an educator
