Position Description:
Positions in this function are responsible for providing expertise or general claims support to teams in reviewing, researching, investigating, negotiating, processing and adjusting claims.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Authorize the appropriate payment or refers claims to investigators for further review
- Conduct data entry and re-work; analyze and identify trends and provide reports as necessary
- Coordinate, supervise and is accountable for the daily activities of business support, technical or production team or unit

- 2 years of healthcare claims processing experience is required
- 2 years of team lead or supervisory experience is required
- Proficiency in MS Word and Excel is required; PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook are preferred
- Experience managing in a production environment and having HR responsibilities is preferred
- Expert knowledge of health claim processes and products, root cause development and claim paying systems is preferred
- Identifies and resolves operational problems using defined processes, expertise and judgment
- CPT and ICD-9 coding knowledge is preferred
- Decisions are guided by policies, procedures and business plan
- Product, service or process decisions are most likely to impact individual employees and/or customers (internal or external)
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
