We are currently seeking a Human Capital Consultant to join our OptumHealth team. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
Participate with HC Partner in the development of methods/models re: the development of standardized systems and processes of HC-data-collection and reporting. Recommend enhanced or streamlined reports that will capture trends in turnover, compensation, pay equity, exit interviews, FTE headcount, diversity in hiring, in order to improve and expand analytical capabilities in areas of HC expertise. Work with Managers to ensure utilization of existing people processes (i.e., Recruiting, Talent Management, MAP, Business Driven Development, Reward & Recognition Strategies, Vital Signs Reporting & Action Planning, Retention Strategies) as well as deploying corporate-wide initiatives related to these processes. Consult with and develop productive partnerships with UHG content experts in appropriate areas of Human Capital, including participation in enterprise-wide initiatives. Work with site or department stakeholders to produce reports which identify and analyze negative trends and barriers to success; work with line-managers to resolve issues and follow up to monitor success of implemented resolutions. Assist managers with creating and ensuring that job descriptions and competencies are accurate, up to date and appropriately graded. Will assist with market data gathering at the Corporate level. Coach managers and leaders in performance management skills, counsel with managers regarding corrective review process, terminations, in conjunction with HRdirect, as appropriate. Participate in developing and delivering information and training for employees in different sites in various HC subjects, including performance management, Policies and Procedures.
Provide analytical information to the business to identify trends and root causes on human capital issues. Provide standard reporting capabilities that will allow human capital and the business segments in making fact based human capital decisions. At the direction of the Human Capital Partner, consult and develop partnerships with business managers, leaders, employees, and functional groups by providing expertise in areas of Human Capital, including organizational and individual employee performance, change management processes and policy and procedures and help internal clients become self-sufficient. Manage special projects and initiatives as needed to address employee related issues surfaced through site visits and/or employee and manager interactions.

Qualifications
- A 4 year degree in Business, Human Capital or related discipline
- 3-5 years of Human Capital experience in a position requiring strong problem solving and analytical skills, preferably supporting a call center or large non-exempt population
- Some experience in influencing others in a HC generalist function
- Direct experience with terminations, downsizing helpful
- Demonstrated success in employee problem-resolution
- A complete understanding of wage and hour, FMLA and ADA laws and regulations
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Must be able to write clearly, interact with all levels of employees and present to groups in a training environment, with a strong focus on organizational development
- Strong multi-tasking, problem solving, interpersonal, team-building and organizational skills
- Previous experience in a dynamic, growing organizational helpful
- Familiarity with compensation analysis very helpful
- Experience working in a matrix environment preferred
- Working knowledge of Human Capital systems and website learning
- Independent and resourceful problem solver with a focus on achieving results
- Ability to develop strong, trusting relationships with all employees at all levels
