American Technical Associates, Inc. (ATA ) a Knoxville, TN based Technical staffing/search firm, is recruiting for the following temp, possible temp-to-perm position for a Clinton, TN company:

Quality Technician

Scope of Duties:

* Perform Quality functions ranging from product subcomponents to finished goods dock audits with emphasis on the verification of product subcomponents by the use of various measuring

devices.

Experience and Qualifications Required:

* Experience with variety of manufacturing processes and equipment

* Minimum of 3 years experience in manufacturing and quality control in an automotive tier one supplier manufacturing company (mechanical assembly experience preferred)

* Proficient knowledge in math, reading drawings, GD&T, and measuring equipment, and testing techniques

* Ability to work in fast-paced environment handling multiple tasks

* Ability to help troubleshoot and solve routine and non-routine quality problems

* Ability to interact well with all employees, customers, suppliers, and auditors

* Strong verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities:

* Incoming receiving inspection of parts by use of calipers, micrometers, indicators, go/no go gages, height gauge, optical comparator and other mechanical inspection equipment

* Process audits

* Help organize and maintain records for sorting operations

* Gather data for SPC monitoring. Analyze results and identify out-of-control conditions and trends

* Help with controlled experiments under direction of engineering/manufacturing.
