This person would be responsible for performing quality audits and educating coding staff about coding audit findings and new codes. They would also be responsible for the unbilled report. Would code about 25 - 50% of the time. After successful completion of the probation period, position could be remote 3 days a week.



Qualifications
Position requires RHIA, RHIT, or CCS and 5 years acute hospital coding experience.
The successful candidate will have:
1. Thorough knowledge of medical record coding and abstracting policies, practices and procedures.
2. Thorough knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology.
3. Ability to interpret and evaluate medical records and related documents.
4. Ability to plan, assign, and review the work of others.
