We currently have an opportunity for a Registered Nurse First Assistant in our Operating Room. The RNFA will perform in the role of Surgical First Assistant under the direct supervision of the surgeon. First assistants are expected to be able to perform proficiently in the first scrub and assistant position in at least 4 of the following specialties: Ortho, Neuro, Cardio, Plastics, GYN, ENT and General Surgery.

Qualified candidates must possess:

  • Minimum of five years of surgical scrub experience in a variety of surgical specialties including, ortho, neuro, cardio, plastics, GYN, ENT and General Surgery required

  • RN licensure, BCLS, CNOR and a current National certification required

  • Candidate must have experience in Vein Harvesting and endoscopic procedures

  • Minimum of two years of cardiac first assisting experience including endovein and open vein harvest

  • Strong multi-specialty first assisting and scrub experience including Neurological, Orthopedic, Vascular, Trauma, Gynecological and laparoscopic procedures required
