Mercer Engineering Research Center (MERC) is currently hiring Software Engineers to work in the Embedded Systems Division at the Warner Robins, Georgia, facility. Duties of the position include:
- Software design and software development in C/C++ or assembly language
- Analysis of hardware and software deficiencies
- Design, modification, development, writing and testing of Radar Warning Receiver (RWR) software algorithms, support equipment software and support tool software.

Qualifications:
- Experience in the development of real time software for scientific or engineering applications to include software, hardware, and systems architectures to meet strict time and performance objectives is required.
- Experience in real time software for airborne avionics is preferred.
- Must have excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a development team.
- Knowledge of configuration management, CASE tools, airborne avionics, or standard electronics laboratory test equipment is desired.
- Exposure to CMM or CMMI development environment is a plus.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
- Successful candidates must be capable of obtaining and maintaining a DoD security clearance.
- Requires an undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics and 5 years related experience; or a Masters degree in same and 3 years related experience; or a Ph.D. in same; or no degree and 9 years related experience.
